Nicole & Matt - Married - Woodwinds, Branford, CT

Here are my favorites from Nicole and Matt's Wedding Day. Nicole's Sister Lisa did a beautiful job with her Make - Up and hair. Lisa is a celebrity Make-Up artist and heads up the make-up dept. for E! Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA. She was recently featured in a few magazines and blogs. So of course we started with Nicole getting ready. Take a look at how beautiful she is!

I love to watch the reaction from the bride as well as the groom when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day.

After their ceremony we headed over to the Woodwinds in Branford. Their grounds are perfect for beautiful wedding day images.

Nicole & Brian - Wedding Day

I had the opportunity to help out a friend in need. My good friend and fellow photographer Candace Jeffery needed a second shooter for part of the day. You bet I helped her out! She has been there for me with last minute circumstances there was no way I would turn her down. I love the community of photographers that we have. We are so lucky to network with such great, talented people.

Gillian and Michael Married - The Pavilion on Crystal Lake

Finally, I will be posting weddings from the 2009 season. There are a lot of great things in store for 2010 at Val McCormick Photography. Stay tuned for those announcements!

Gillian and Michael had a beautiful wedding on such a beautiful bright sunny day. We started the day with Gillian as she prepared for her big day to marry Michael.

Her ring was Amazing!!!

So was her dress!!! Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

Funny there are always bloopers. What's wrong with the picture above? Wonder if you can figure it out?

I love to capture the reaction of the bride and groom when they see each other during the ceremony. Watching their eyes make that connection. I can only imagine the emotion of "We are getting married", racing through their minds. The view was beautiful and serene at The Pavilion on Crystal Lake.

I love how has Gillian held Michael's ring in hand it just seemed to be blessed from above as clouds parted for a tiny beam of light to strike only the ring.

I also love to watch the bride and groom's parents as the couple say their vows. In this case the ceremony was full of emotion.

Amanda & Arman -Lyman Orchards - CT ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

Amanda and Arman are such an awesome couple! I love listening to Arman talk and hear the phrases he uses since he is from Scotland. They are full of personality and so inlove! I returned to Lyman Orchards yet again for another FANTABULOUS engagement session! I love the challenge of trying to make the same location look different; after all every relationship is unique and their images should be too. Be sure to check out how much fun Amanda and Arman had during their engagement session in the slideshow below.

I spotted some light peeking through the trees and had them move over to this location! So glad I did just check out the backlight!

WE LOVED this old gate! We had to work it into their session!
