Arabolos - Family Reunion

I have always found genealogy research to be interesting. Who were my great grandparents? Where were they from? What were their stories? I recently photographed the Arabolos family reunion. Jenn coordinated this reunion and knew that this was an event to be treasured by generations to come. What a great move she made in hiring a professional photographer to document this event. Jenn did a wonderful job with coordinating this event. She was very organized with every detail and it definitely paid off.
Here are just a few teaser shots of the day. I will be posting a slide show soon with everyone's group shots so stay tuned for that.

The guest of honor Lillian and Edward.

Lillian had a great time viewing everyone's historic photographs and trying to figure out who was who.

Jenn organized a craft and activity area for the kids. They really had a great time creating sand art and playing an old time favorite; Twister.

Jenn and her lovely daughter.

Thank you everyone for allowing me to capture this day and a HUGE special thanks to Victoria Souza for referring Jenn to me.

That's a very nice large group portrait. It's very hard to arrange people so that it is both practical and interesting, but it seems you've done both here! :-)

I love shots of the elder generation. It's amazing what many of them have been through & how much we can learn from them. It's also amazing how different the world is than from when they were young.

The 3rd shot is great. The BW makes it seem old and the memories seem to flow through the photograph.
